ππ½ Hello, everyone!
So anyway, like I was saying, we moved. It was hectic and messy and tiring and I hurt my back at one point, and after breaking down like 762 shipping boxes, we are now settled into our new home!
Itβs so much bigger than our last cozy spot that it took some serious nesting to make it feel like home. However, we are expert nesters, so we now have a cozy, comfy, lovely apartment with an amazing view and the most comfortable sofa in the world.
Our sofa is sort of the best thing ever - itβs huge, itβs incredibly comfortable, itβs washable(!). Justin bought it while it was on sale long before we moved and was able to delay the delivery until we were ready for it. Once we had it, he noticed it had gone on sale again, and he contacted the company to ask if we could retroactively get the discount, and THEY GAVE IT TO HIM. I didnβt know you could do that!
Our apartment came with a beverage station, which would be amazing if we actually drank alcohol, but it turns out, itβs still amazing, because we drink a lot of other things. The wine fridge is filled with bubbly water and mocktails, and the cabinets are stuffed with coffee beans and tea bags and cups and Nespresso pods and straws and mocha syrup and hot cocoa.
I just love our bedroom, with its little reading corner and beautiful view. Our kitchen has a ton of storage space (which is good, because I just won a giant ice cream maker at our company Christmas party). Also, I thought I would hate having an electric stove, but I actually kind of love it (donβt tell my chef friends).
We have an office! My desk is at the window, and Justin has a beautiful chair and ottoman in the other corner (heβs not a desk guy).
We feel very lucky to have scored this apartment overlooking Branch Park, where we know there will be no new construction, where we watch endless sand volleyball games (even when itβs cold - these people are COMMITTED), and where we can watch the farmers market every Sunday from 7am setup to 2pm tear down. (At which point itβs time to watch Red Zone anyway, so it works out nicely.)
Weβve spent a four years making do with much less space, first because we wanted to feel cozy and small, and then because we just kind of forgot that more space was an option. Now it feels so lovely to have room to lay out a suitcase for packing, to roll out a yoga mat, to dance and to twirl and to breathe. Needless to say, we love it.

Thatβs it! Thank you for readingβhit reply and tell me what youβre up to.
