Happy Superbowl/day-before-Valentineās/day-before-my-halfiversary Day! (Tomorrow will be 22 1/2 year wedding anniversary.) As expected, February is flying by. Itās already February 13, and I totally planned to send cute Valentineās Day cards this year, so I guess thatās not happening. Thereās always Easter?
Big news, friends: My friend AT gave us an air fryer. Do we have room for this appliance in our kitchen? Absolutely not. Am I already obsessed with it? Yes, of course I am. So far all Iāve made are some little frozen Korean pastries, and now I want to go to Trader Joeās and buy all the frozen items just to cook in this thing. Which maybe isnāt the best idea, since theyāre probably not as healthy as all the things I cook without an air fryer, but oh well.

All right, Sparky, hereās the deal. I havenāt been taking many photos of my food latelyā¦ because Iāve been taking videos instead! I made my first YouTube video, just a quiet little diary of things I cook and eat and do. Early feedback is that itās very calming, which makes me so happy.
Itās a 12-minute long video, so I donāt expect everyone to watch it, but here it is if youāre interested!

Gastro Obscura. I got this on my Kindle from the library, and it was just too fun to read and re-read, so I bought the hardback version. Itās like an encyclopedia of amazing foods and food traditions around the world.
Cooking at Home. Real sentence I said while reading this book: āDavid Chang makes me want to boil a chicken.ā š I really liked the vibe of this bookāitās not a cookbook with recipes, more like a treatise on home cooking with some fun ideas that I canāt wait to try out.
The Korean Vegan Cookbook. Iāve seen this gal on Instagram, and her vibe there tends to annoy me (itās veryā¦ serious and arty), but her recipes are awesome. Iām so excited to cook from this book!
